# Analytics & Reporting

> Track your progress and measure content performance

## Dashboard Overview

The main dashboard shows your key metrics at a glance:

### Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

* **Organic Traffic** - Total visitors from Google and other search engines
* **Avg. Position** - Your average ranking position across all tracked keywords
* **Keywords Ranking** - How many keywords rank in top 10, 20, 100
* **Articles Published** - Total content published in selected time period
* **Indexed Pages** - Pages Google has in its index

## Traffic Analytics

### Traffic Sources

See where your visitors come from:

* **Organic Search** - From Google and search engines
* **Direct** - Visitors typing your URL
* **Referral** - From links on other sites
* **Social** - From social media platforms

### Traffic Trends

* View traffic over time (day, week, month, year)
* Compare periods to track growth
* Identify seasonal patterns
* Spot traffic anomalies

### Top Performing Articles

* Which articles drive the most traffic
* Traffic trend for each article (up, down, stable)
* Keywords each article ranks for
* Estimated monthly organic traffic per article

## Keyword Ranking Metrics

### Ranking Distribution

* How many keywords rank in positions 1-3 (high value)
* Positions 4-10 (good visibility)
* Positions 11-20 (room for improvement)
* Position 21+ (needs optimization)

### Ranking Changes

Track how your rankings change:

* Keywords improving (going up in position)
* Keywords declining (going down in position)
* New keywords ranking for first time
* Keywords fell out of top 100

### Visibility Score

Moonrank's proprietary metric showing your total estimated search visibility:

* Accounts for ranking position AND search volume
* Higher visibility = more clicks
* Track if your total visibility is growing or shrinking

### Individual Article Metrics

For each published article:

* Total views
* Estimated organic traffic
* Keyword ranking for target keyword
* Engagement (time on page, bounce rate)

## Custom Reports

### Create Custom Reports

1. Click "Create Report"
2. Select metrics to include
3. Choose date range
4. Add filters by topic, author, keyword
5. Generate report

### Schedule Automated Reports

* Daily, weekly, or monthly reports
* Sent automatically to your email
* Share with stakeholders
* Export as PDF
